About me
Hi, I’m Anamarija
I’m the owner of the wedding planning agency Feshtaona, creator of the financial brand Škrabica, a Master of Economics—and always in sneakers. I was born and raised in Zagreb, and I approach every project with a mix of passion, organization, and (I admit) a lot of energy.
I’m talkative and impatient, but always down-to-earth—with a touch of rose-colored glasses. I’m a mom to a little rascal I call “colleague,” in love with the film Tko pjeva zlo ne misli, and (co-)author of the local tourist tour EvenTura.
I care more about comfort than formality, so you’ll see me in sneakers more often than in heels—even at the weddings I lead. Because comfortable can absolutely be professional.
What do I love?
- gatherings where I can truly be myself
- good chocolate and even better wine
- parties of all shapes and colors
- concerts, festivals, and genuine people
- entrepreneurship and the challenges it brings
How do I work?
- I organize weddings when everything feels overwhelming
- I help you get started—even if you don’t know where to begin
- I prevent mistakes and stressful situations before they happen
- I lead ceremonies that last just as long as they should—with feeling, not just formality
- I create moments where every guest feels the love, warmth, and your story
How did I go from aspiring carpenter to wedding planner?
As a child, I dreamed of being a carpenter—I was fascinated by creating something out of nothing. Today, I don’t build houses, but I do build moments. I organize weddings and create emotions that are remembered for a lifetime.
The path wasn’t linear. The pandemic brought me a job loss—but also the space to finally start. I learned, stumbled, got back up, and succeeded. Now I have something of my own. And it’s something I’d do even if I had all the money in the world.
Why weddings?
Because I love love. And I’m not ashamed of it. I love seeing the nerves, excitement, and affection just before the ceremony begins. I love the moment when the couple’s parents approach me with tears in their eyes, full of praise. That’s when I know I’ve succeeded.
And when I’m not working on weddings?
I work in life insurance. Because I believe in planning, in prevention—and in loving yourself and others. I used to think selling insurance was the worst job in the world. Today, I’m the one bringing this important topic closer to people—in my own way: honestly, simply, and with a lot of understanding.
In the end, everything I do—whether I’m planning weddings or helping people protect what matters most—I do for the same reason.
Because what I love most is seeing smiles on faces and knowing I helped create that feeling of security and happiness.
Because life is too short for average moments—and too beautiful not to celebrate love every chance we get.
